1. Agreement to Terms
By installing, downloading, accessing, or using the AdSniffer browser extension ("Extension") and related verification services provided by AdSniffer ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any provision, please uninstall the Extension and discontinue use.
2. Scope of Service & Advisory Nature
AdSniffer provides client-side feed annotation to detect statistical markers of commercial advertising (Hard Ads, Sponsored posts, Lead generation) and synthetic AI-generated text on supported social media platforms (x.com, Threads, and Bluesky).
Probabilistic Classification Disclaimer:
All probability scores, telemetry breakdown percentages, and category labels provided by AdSniffer are algorithmic approximations based on linguistic analysis and heuristics. AdSniffer does not provide legal determination of commercial sponsorship or official third-party endorsements. You acknowledge that classifications may occasionally produce false positives or false negatives.
3. Detection Quotas & Early Bird Allocation
- Founding Grant: Eligible early users (the first 100 verified installers) who complete both required steps (extension installation and Google authentication) receive a promotional credit of 10,000 post detections.
- Quota Measurement: One quota unit is consumed per unique social media post evaluated by the AdSniffer classifier. Cached repeated views of identical posts do not incur duplicate quota deductions during an active session.
- Sybil Prevention: Quota claims are strictly limited to one allocation per verified human user. Scripting, bot creation, or manipulating Google accounts to hoard allocations is strictly prohibited and results in immediate forfeiture.
4. Prohibited Uses & Reverse Engineering
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the AdSniffer inference API endpoints or rate-limiting measures;
- Use automated scrapers, headless browsers, or bots to saturate the API service;
- Resell, redistribute, or sub-license AdSniffer detection tokens without prior written authorization;
- Attempt to exploit the extension bridge to inject malicious scripts into third-party social media DOM environments.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AdSniffer and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or personal decisions made in reliance upon content classification badges—arising out of your access to or use of the Service.
